This Privacy Policy describes how the Meet Live Voice Translator Chrome extension
(Chrome Web Store ID bbpkjnebfklhaldokgokpbeckmlgacod, "the extension") and its sign-in
server (realtime-meeting.headspacex.work) collect, use and share data. The extension is
published by DNG Team ("we", "us"). It has a single purpose: real-time, two-way speech translation
during Google Meet calls.
1. Summary
- Meeting audio and your microphone audio are streamed directly from your browser to the Google Gemini API for translation. They never pass through our servers, and neither the extension nor our servers record or store audio, transcripts or translations.
- Your settings stay in your browser.
- Only if you choose "Sign in with Google" do we store your basic Google profile (email, name, profile picture URL, Google account ID) and simple usage counters on our server.
- We do not sell data, show ads, use analytics or tracking, or share data with anyone except as described below.

3. Sign in with Google (optional)
Instead of using your own Gemini API key, you can sign in with your Google account. The extension then
requests an ID token from Google with the scopes openid email profile and sends it to our
server at https://realtime-meeting.headspacex.work. Our server verifies the token and stores:
- your email address, name, profile picture URL and Google account ID;
- the time of your first and most recent sign-in, and the number of sign-ins;
- the time of your most recent translation session and the number of sessions started.
Each time you start translating, the extension sends the target language code (for example
en) to our server, which obtains a short-lived, single-use Gemini access token (valid for up
to 30 minutes) and returns it to your browser. The audio itself still goes directly from your browser to
Google and is never received by our server.
In your browser, the extension stores the session token issued by our server and your email address in
chrome.storage.local so you stay signed in.
We use this information only to authenticate you, operate the service, prevent abuse and understand overall usage. Like most web servers, our server also keeps technical logs (such as IP address, time and requested path, and error messages that may include your email address) for security and troubleshooting; these logs are rotated and deleted periodically.
4. Third-party services
- Google Gemini API (
generativelanguage.googleapis.com) performs the speech recognition and translation. Audio sent to it is handled under the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. If you use your own API key, your key's terms and tier apply (for example, Google may handle data from unpaid tiers differently from paid tiers). - Google Sign-In is used for the optional sign-in described in section 3.
We do not share, sell or transfer your data to any other third party.
5. What we do not do
- We do not record meetings or keep audio, transcripts or translations.
- We do not collect Google Meet chat, participant lists, calendar data or any other website content. On Meet pages the extension only interacts with the microphone controls and displays its own translation panel.
- We do not sell user data or use it for advertising, profiling or creditworthiness decisions.
- We do not use analytics, cookies or tracking in the extension or on this website.
6. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Permissions
The extension requests only what it needs for translation on Google Meet:
tabCapture and offscreen (capture and process the Meet tab's audio),
activeTab and tabs (confirm the active tab is Google Meet and show the translation panel),
sidePanel (show subtitles in Chrome's side panel),
storage (save your settings), and
identity (optional Google sign-in). Host access is limited to Google Meet, the Gemini API and
our sign-in server.
8. Retention and deletion
- Local data is removed when you uninstall the extension, or when you clear it from Chrome.
- Account data from section 3 is kept while you use the sign-in mode. To have it deleted, email us from the address you signed in with; we will delete it within 30 days.
9. Security
All connections use HTTPS or secure WebSockets (WSS). In sign-in mode, the Gemini API key stays on our server and your browser only receives short-lived, single-use tokens.
10. Other meeting participants
The extension processes the voices of everyone in the call while translation is on. Please let other participants know you are using a translation tool, and obtain their consent where the law requires it.
11. Children
The extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will post any changes on this page and update the effective date above.
